Born in Port Huron, Michigan, Mary Frances Doner attended Columbia University. She also studied music at New York University. Immediately upon leaving college, she began writing for various pulp and other magazines, including Munsey Magazine, Fiction House, Woman's Home Companion . She was also a music reporter for the Boston Traveler . Many of her stories published in serial form were later brought out as novels. Doner was a popular author in her time with some of her novels set in Michigan. ...
